What is a credit?
Credits are one balance you spend on everything. 1 credit = 1 illustration, so a typical 8–12 page book plus a character or two is about 10–15 credits. The same credits also make posters and videos — see the next question for video costs.
How much do videos and posters cost?
All from the same credit balance. A Story Poster is 2 credits. A Standard Trailer is 1 credit per page (minimum 4). An Animated Trailer is 3 credits per page (minimum 12). A cinematic Movie Trailer is a flat 30 credits. Every video exports as an MP4 for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, or sharing anywhere.
What's the difference between page options?
Users with less than 300 credits can create books with 8 or 12 pages. 16-page books are available for Creator/Studio subscribers or users with 300+ credits, allowing for longer, more detailed stories.
What's the difference between subscription and credit packs?
Subscriptions give you fresh credits every month at a lower per-image cost. Credit packs are one-time purchases that never expire - perfect if you create books occasionally.
Do unused subscription credits roll over?
Subscription credits refresh each month and don't roll over. If you need credits that never expire, consider our credit packs.
How do annual plans work?
You pay once for the year (2 months free vs paying monthly), and your credits still refresh every month — the same monthly amount as the equivalent monthly plan. Like monthly plans, credits don't roll over from month to month.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes! You can cancel anytime. You'll keep access to your remaining credits until the end of your billing period.
What features do paid plans include?
All paid plans (subscriptions and credit packs) include PDF, image & MP4 export, story trailers and movie videos, shareable posters, private books and characters, and access to all illustration styles.
Can I regenerate an image if I don't like it?
Yes, but each regeneration uses 1 credit. We recommend reviewing your story text before generating images.
Can I use characters from other users?
Yes! You can browse the public character library and use community-created characters in your stories. Each public character costs 1 credit to use. Your own characters are always free to use.
What are story preferences?
Story preferences let you customize your story's mood (warm, adventurous, mysterious, emotional), narrative perspective (first-person or third-person), plot twists, and target audience (children, all ages, or teens/adults). These settings are available to all users.
